Come down for our official launch! We'll be sharing what this new society is all about over some snacks and drinks. Some highlights you can look forward to:

- Matthew talking about his experience at the European Student Conference at Yale in 2018 (and how you can sign up for it!)
- Details on how anyone can propose research projects, or get involved with existing ones
- Read through copies of our annual journal, The Review of European and Transatlantic Affairs
- did we mention some real good snaccs

It'll be chill, fun, useful and overall European good time

Continuing in the illustrious tradition of talking about all that's under the sun over drinks, we invite all those interested in our activities or just interested in chatting to come along to the Cambridge Brew House!

We'll talk about religion, tech, climate change, human rights, Italy and pretty much everything else :)

Dr Joseph Downing is LSE Fellow in nationalism at the European Institute, where he teaches courses on global security, migration policy, minority rights and qualitative research methods. He will be speaking to members about identity and security in France, beforre introducing his new book - "French Muslims in Perspective" (https://www.palgrave.com/gp/book/9783030161026)

There will be a Q&A session after the talk! Come down, ask questions, get involved.

We're trying our best to make this a series of talks about Islam in Europe, so if you know someone who can wants to share their work on this topic - reach out!

Josef Janning is a senior policy fellow and head of the Berlin office of the European Council on Foreign Relations. His topics of focus include European integration, EU reform, European and German foreign and security policy, global governance and transatlantic relations.

Tobias Müller - Islam in Europe

Tobias Müller is a Junior Research Fellow at the Woolf Institute and College Research Associate at King’s College. He is a political theorist drawing on ethnographic data working in the fields of contemporary political theory, political anthropology, gender, secularism and religion. Tobias holds degrees in Politics, International Relations, Study of Religion, and Law from the University of Cambridge and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.
